SOFT ENAMEL PINS are the most popular type of pin we make. They have raised metal edges that create a "Pool" for the paint to sit giving them a textured finish. All enamel pins are baked to cure and harden the enamel, however soft enamel pins are plated before they are painted.
HARD ENAMEL PINS differ slightly in they they are coated with epoxy resin after baking, then polished to create a bright, smooth,hard enamelfinish with no texture. This process adds extra durability to the paint, protecting it from scratching or chipping over time.
CMYK EPOXY PINS are a great way to showcase full color artwork. Unlike enamel pins, Epoxy Pins are printed on top of the metal and then coated with a smooth epoxy dome to preserve the quality of the print. These are recommended for art that is highly detailed, has significant color gradients, or is more photo realistic.
