Saddle stitched aka stapled booklets come in increments of 4 pages (8 / 12 / 16 / 20 / etc). Typically they are printed on 100lb gloss text and the cover / back cover is included in the page count and printed on the same weight paper. We can do thicker covers and different types of stock but that is a custom quoted item. It takes an experienced designer to do a proper booklet layout - they need to understand Bleeds, margins, safe zones, and especially "creep". If these words are unfamiliar to you or your designer, I strongly recommend you hire a professional. 

If you need a designer, we charge a min $50 per page layout given you provide all the text, photos, and graphics… we just lay everything out.

Spiral bound sketch books typically come with a clear plastic cover / chip board or black back cover / full color card stock cover / & black and white double sided inside pages. We can do different custom quotes variations of this as well as die cut and foil stamped covers whch creates and amazing end product.

Scanning for sketch books - We charge $1.00 per 8.5x11 scan and that includes checking each scan for contrast and clarity. Originals must be unwrinkled and in a condition that can be fed into a scanner multiple pages at a time. This means you cannot have your line drawings taped to a sheet of paper...yes we can scan those but additional charges will apply. Our scanning charges do not include cleaning up art of stray marks and tape lines. This is something that you would have to do yourself or hire a freelance designer to do.

File submission

• All files should be submitted as a 300 dpi cmyk single doc pdf with the pages in order of front to back sequence.
• All the pages need to have a .25 bleed and .25 margin for cutting. Shifting images .25 away from the center fold is strongly recommended, as well as adjusting for "creep" on larger page saddle stitched booklets.
