This time we’re rocking while the sun’s still out and into the night with a surf themed extravaganza. First we’ll be coolin’ with DJ Ryan Baker on Masquerade’s huge Purgatory Patio soaking up some twilight and chowing down the complimentary P’cheen BBQ from 8-10 p.m. The party moves inside Purgatory immediately afterwards where we’ve got a killer line up of bands familiar and brand new.

Headlining the soiree are surf guitar giants The Mystery Men? This reverb drenched, moody-instrumental 4-piece is sure to have you doing the Pulp Fiction in zero seconds flat. Killer guitars, punchy bass and snappy drumming, we seriously can’t wait for their summer time jams to fill the air. Supporting acts include The Clap, Ghost Bikini, and Resons. Each group has a different take on what it means to be a sleezy garage rocker. Collectively their sound is somewhere in between nothing too punk, nothing too pretty and plenty rock and roll. Ghost Bikini touts a stylish cross between Bettie Boop and Kim Gordon front woman who plays a little harmonica to boot!
