Guitar Hero Marathon for Heart Health Awareness
Local Atlanta man and guitar hero mastermind, Pat Young, is seeking to rock a record setting 72 hours to benefit the America Heart Association.
The goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of this month and he’s nearly there! Pat has been working diligently on this project since August of 2011. A Facebook and Twitter account were launched in October, but the hype for the event didn’t really take off until the official Guitar Hero page caught wind of it, a page followed by nearly seven million fans.
With most of the preparation done, all that’s left to do is to raise the money and
play the game…or “train,” as Pat calls it.
Just the 411:
What: Hero for the Heart: A Guitar Hero Record Setting Rock-a-thon to Benefit the America Heart Association
When: February 23-26
Where: Horizons School off of Dekalb Ave.
Why: To raise $5,000 and break a Guinness World Record™ in the process
Who: Benefits going to the America Heart Association.
So be sure to get involved in anyway you can! Like and share their Facebook page (facebook.com/herofortheheart), follow and re-tweet their tweets at (@herofortheheart) and if you can, donate!
