So I had the pleasure of visiting and chowing down at Grindhouse Burgers here in Atlanta last week. Grindhouse, a Mindzai client, just opened up a new location, a stand-alone building at 1842 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. The General Manager, Mike, was kind enough to serve us up a couple of burgers to, um, “photograph” for the blog. I opted for the Cowboy, which is the super mean looking one pictured below with the bacon and onion rings on, and my girlfriend Kelsey grabbed a Euro. I could barely get off the shots I needed before cramming the burger down. The whole place smells of delicious beef. If you’re an omnivore like myself, you can appreciate the appetite-whetting power of the sweet aroma of perfectly cooking cow meat. If meat isn’t your thing, this is still your place! They apparently make a mean veggie burger that is vegan safe! Whatever your tastes, Grindhouse serves up a filling, juicy, flavorful, well-built burger that would make any grill enthusiast swoon. Oh yeah, and they serve beer.
The restaurant is adorned with relics of the 60s and 70s sci-fi/kung fu/B-reel movie sort, and I was extremely pleased to see an old kung fu film being projected onto a dedicated wall. The place has a respectable selection of beer and liquors, if you’re into that sort of thing, or you can just go there to hang out, grab a soda with a friend and enjoy some outrageous 70s kung fu films.
