Mindzai Creative has partnered up with the Gerber Group and W Atlanta – Midtown to present Art Official, a monthly art gathering and social affair. Featuring long time MJQ resident, Brian Parris, on the wheels, seasonal craft cocktails and a slew of Atlanta’s top artists, this event is set to go down this Thursday, April 19 at The Living Room, a side venue attached to the downstairs lobby inside W Midtown.
Practically a family affair, many of the artists are Mindzai clients, in house designers or long time friends. Mindzai artists Jesse Jaeger & Eric Nine are bringing out a few gems from their private collections. From Jesse, you can expect vibrant, cartoon like depictions of misunderstood monsters against muted and abstract backgrounds. Eric Nine is adding two brand new paintings for this show. In addition to this month’s show, he plans to contribute to the next three shows with paintings, photography and multimedia. Other artists include resident artist Chris Hobe of Artistic Revolution, Chris Hamer of UrbnPop, tattoo artist Mike Groves, Keith Rein, and YunnyBunny.
The arrival of spring, with the 76th Annual Dogwood festival in tow, provides a nice tie-in for this year’s launch of Art-Official. It’s a celebration of all things beautiful, eclectic and classic. So come out, engage your senses and mingle amongst some of Atlanta’s most inspired DJs, visual artists, and, dare we say it, mixologists too.
